Vera is a faithful companion in the form of a vest that you will want to use all year round. The material determines the area of use both in terms of style butalso the degree of warmth. The outer fabric can be sewn in everything from denim, corduroy, wool tweed, twill and even linen. It can be lined with teddy, fleece, flannel or a thinner lining fabric. It can be quilted with double layers of fabric and either with or without batting in between. You can also choose whether you want to sew with welt pockets or patched pockets. Vera can be sewn either with a bias tape around the edges or as a completely reverse stitched garment and regardless of that, you can choose whether you want to be able to use your vest with one side out or the other!
Included in the pattern you will also find two alternative front pieces, one with and one without bustdarts for you to choose the fit that will suit your body best. If you have a larger cup size a dart is always preferred since that will improve the way the garment fits on your body.
